Before joining Lundbergs in 1977, Fredrik Lundberg received a masters degree from the Stockholm School of Economics. He became the company's chief executive officer and president in 1981 and oversaw its admission to the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 1983.
The billionaire is married and lives in Sweden. His daughters, Louise Lindh and Katarina Martinson, sit on the board of directors at Lundbergs.
