The Chongqing, China-based company sells its products, including vaccines for tuberculosis and meningococcal, across the country. It became publicly traded in 2010 and reported revenue of 30.7 billion yuan ($4.8 billion) in 2021.

The majority of Jiang's fortune is derived from his 54% stake in Chongqing Zhifei Biological Products Co., a vaccines manufacturer.
Jiang holds the shares directly and through his son, according to a Nov. 11, 2022 company filing. About one-tenth of his shares are pledged and removed from the calculation.
The valuation of his cash investments is based on an analysis on dividends, insider transactions, market performance and taxes.
Qin Fei, a spokesman for the company, declined to comment on the Jiang's net worth.
Jiang was born in Guangxi, China. Jiang is the fourth child born into a working class family. He finished high school in 1970 and returned to his village to be a teacher at a local primary school.
He enrolled at Guilin Medical University in 1977. Jiang graduated three years later and was assigned to work at a anti-epidemic facility. He worked there for 19 years before moving to Chengdu to work for a vaccine company. In June 2002, he set-up Chongqing Zhifei Biological Product Co. with four other colleagues by acquiring the vaccine company they used to work for, according to a Jan. 4, 2018 report by Chinese media outlet Jiemian.
The company gradually expanded, and began trading publicly on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in September 2010.
