Manufacturing accounted for 3.5% of all hires, the sixth highest of any industry, among graduates in their first jobs after business school. Politecnico di Milano School of Management, located in Italy's commercial and business center, sent 30.8% of its MBA graduates into manufacturing, the biggest share among all schools in the Best B-Schools ranking. The school notes that its grads' strong competence in supply chain management, operations, and smart manufacturing, positioning them for jobs that focus on introducing innovations into production and manufacturing. At 30.3%, University of Tennessee’s Haslam school was a close second, followed by Penn State’s Smeal school, at 29.7%.
