EON Teams Up With University to Build 5-Megawatt Battery System

EON SE, Germany’s largest utility, and RWTH Aachen University have begun building a 5-megawatt power storage battery in Germany.
The Modular Multimegawatt, Multitechnology Medium-Voltage Battery Storage System, or “M5BAT,” should be completed by the middle of next year, Dusseldorf-based EON said in a statement Wednesday.
