A Minnesota man who recently visited New York City for a crowded anime convention has tested positive for the omicron variant. Mayor Bill de Blasio said “we should assume” the variant is spreading in the city.
Colorado also reported a case caused by the new variant, in a woman who had visited South Africa. Worldwide, omicron continued its spread, including in India, Singapore, South Korea, Greece, Finland and Ghana.
