Macquarie Bets on Network Infrastructure With $13 Billion Raise

  • Infrastructure investor hits final close on Super Core fund

Macquarie Group Ltd., one of the world’s largest infrastructure investors, raised €12.6 billion ($13.1 billion) to bet on everything from gas networks to water treatment facilities.

The Australian firm’s asset management arm hit the final close on a series 2 fundraising for its Super Core Infrastructure Fund, it said in a statement on Monday. The fund drew commitments from investors including insurers, sovereign wealth funds and family offices from 22 countries.
