Apollo, Marcelo Claure Discuss Takeover of Millicom

Apollo Global Management Inc. and former SoftBank Group Corp. executive Marcelo Claure are in talks to acquire Millicom International Cellular SA, the Latin American telecommunications firm said in a statement Wednesday.

“There is no certainty that a transaction will materialize nor as to the terms, timing or form of any potential transaction,” Millicom said.
