Berlusconis’ MFE Makes Discount Bid for Germany’s ProSieben

MFE-MediaForEurope NV, the broadcaster controlled by Italy’s Berlusconi family, launched a tender offer for ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE shares in a bid to tighten its grip over the German entertainment company.

Milan-based MFE is offering a mix of cash and stock at around a 13% discount from Wednesday’s closing price, the company said in a statement, confirming an earlier Bloomberg News report. That values ProSieben at about €5.7 a share, according to calculations by Bloomberg.
