South African Cement Company Approves $164 Million Cape Plant

The board of PPC Ltd., South Africa’s top cement maker, approved a plan to build a 3 billion-rand ($164 million) cement plant in the country’s Western Cape province.

The facility, with annual ability to produce 1.5 million tons of the building material, will replace and increase existing capacity, PPC said in a statement on Thursday.
