Atletico Madrid Partners With Rwanda as Feud With Congo Simmers

Photographer: Cristina Quicler/Getty ImagesRwanda signed a three-year commercial partnership with Spanish football club Atletico Madrid to promote its Visit Rwanda brand amid criticism of the country’s role in a conflict in neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo.
Under the agreement, Visit Rwanda will become the club’s official training and tourism destination partner, and coffee supplier, the Rwanda Development Board Chief Executive Officer Jean-Guy Afrika said in a statement.
