Ivorian Court Rules Against Thiam as Party Leadership Unaffected

An Ivory Coast court ruled that former Credit Suisse AG Chief Executive Officer Tidjane Thiam was ineligible to lead the country’s main opposition party when he was elected in 2023 because of his French citizenship at the time.

The decision has no impact on Thiam’s surprise return as head of the Democratic Party of Ivory Coast last week.
