Ex-Credit Suisse Boss Is Barred From Running in Ivorian Vote

Ivory Coast’s electoral commission excluded former Credit Suisse AG Chief Executive Officer Tidjane Thiam from the country’s voters’ roll, closing off his bid to run for president this year.

Thiam’s name doesn’t appear on a list published on Wednesday by the Independent Electoral Commission, thwarting his plan to be the main opposition candidate in an election that’s scheduled to take place in October.
