Guggenheim’s Walsh Says Fed Has Room to Cut Interest Rates Now
The Federal Reserve has room to cut interest rates as elevated uncertainty and the impact of tariffs ripple across the economy, said Anne Walsh, chief investment officer of Guggenheim Partners Investment Management.
“If I were the Fed, I’d start to think about going ahead and lowering rates,” Walsh said in a Bloomberg Television interview with David Rubenstein, co-founder and co-chairman of Carlyle Group Inc. “Real rates are very high right now relative to history.”
