AkzoNobel shares declined after the Dutch paintmaker reported second-quarter sales that missed the average analyst estimate, and warned on tariff caution.

The Amsterdam-listed paintmaker’s revenue for the second quarter fell 6% year-on-year to €2.63 billion, according to a statement Tuesday. The company saw lower paint volumes as macro-economic uncertainties, particularly in North America, more than offset growth in its marine and protective coatings businesses. Analysts surveyed by Bloomberg had expected revenue of €2.71 billion.
