Senegal Bonds Rise as New IMF Program Talks to Start August

Senegal’s eurobonds extended gains and were among the top performers in emerging markets on Friday as the International Monetary Fund said it will start discussions with the country on a new program from next month.

The country’s 2031 dollar bond rose a second day by 2.6% to 79.51 cents on the dollar at 12:23 a.m. in London, the highest in six weeks. Notes due 2033 gained 0.9% to 72.21 cents on the dollar.
