Amazon Scraps €300 Million New Irish Plant in Blow to State

Amazon.com Inc. scrapped plans for a new facility in Dublin, which will raise alarm bells in Ireland at a time of intense concern about the impact of Donald Trump’s tariffs on the country.

The investment, estimated to amount to about €300 million ($353 million), was intended for Amazon Web Services, the company’s cloud computing unit. It wanted the new site for making high-tech server racks for data centers, the Irish Times reported.
