Ray-Ban Maker EssilorLuxottica Sales Top Estimates

EssilorLuxottica SA posted better-than-expected revenue in the second quarter, as the world’s biggest eyewear maker showed strong gains in Europe and pressed ahead with its smart-glasses initiative.

Revenue increased 7.3% at constant exchange rates to €7.18 billion ($8.36 billion) for the period, according to a statement Monday. That beat analysts’ estimates for a 5.9% rise, based on a Bloomberg-compiled consensus.
