Iran Faces Another Water Crisis as Drought Strains Supply

Iran is facing one of its worst droughts on record as a major drop in annual rainfall forces authorities to restrict supply across the country.

Officials have warned that drinking water may be at risk as volumes in dams supplying Tehran province — one of the Middle East’s largest metropolitan areas with a population of almost 14.5 million — are roughly half of what they were last year.
