Ivory Coast’s Octogenarian Leader Announces Reelection Bid

Ivory Coast’s president Alassane Ouattara will seek a fourth term as leader of the world’s biggest cocoa-growing nation in elections scheduled for Oct. 25.

“I have decided to stand as a candidate in the presidential election,” Ouattara said in a statement broadcast on national television on Tuesday.
