JPMorgan Chase & Co. is in advanced talks to replace Goldman Sachs Group Inc. in its credit-card joint venture with Apple Inc., according to people familiar with the matter.

The banking and tech giants have been ramping up negotiations on transferring the portfolio, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing confidential talks. They warned that no deal has yet been reached.
