Boston Celtics minority owner Steve Pagliuca offered to acquire the Connecticut Sun and move the team to Boston in a deal that values the team at a record $325 million, according to people familiar with the agreement.

An investment group led by Pagliuca, the former co-chairman of Bain Capital, has made a bid to purchase the women’s professional basketball team from the Mohegan Tribe with the intention of keeping it in New England, according to a statement shared on X on Sunday.
