Bridgestone Corp. plans to offset losses in Brazil by revitalizing its century-old Firestone brand and boosting North American production in a campaign to ramp up sales in the US and Europe amid tariff pressures.
The Japanese tiremaker expects its full-year adjusted operating profit for the Americas to grow 20.5% this fiscal year, according to the company’s first-half earnings statement.
