Crescent Energy to Buy Shale Rival Vital Energy for $733 Million

Texas-based Crescent Energy Co. agreed to buy rival shale oil producer Vital Energy Inc. for about $733 million.

The all-stock deal calls for Vital shareholders to receive about 1.9 shares of Crescent Class A common stock for each share they own, according to a statement Monday.
