For many students, their college experience starts the moment they step foot into the dorm. But students who transfer from community colleges or commute to school often miss out on a formative residential experience. The University of California, Berkeley, wants to change this with the Helen Diller Anchor House — a dormitory designed exclusively for transfer students.
