00:00Now people are realizing how complex and edgy transition is and all of us are going to have to work together. And I represent a kind of a basically millennials who walked in. I would add that oil and gas industry. I am a petroleum engineer. But we want a different future for the industry. The industry is home for a lot of really talented and hardworking people. But everyone has to also kind of evolve. It was through a lot of organic conversations their experiences that she was happy with academia trying to innovate and see those innovations come to life. And the kind of the system does not really set up for that. And my experience in the startup and in business and technology commercialization and a just kind of we say hey you have ideas. I could try to put a business model around it. Why don't we just do this together. And you know it kind of led to studying. So. We know very little about converting energy to mass. And I asked Tara what is the best example where energy is converted to mass in nature. And she said well plants do that all day like with photosynthesis. So we said okay let's take that as an example and build a system that could convert CO2 and sunlight and water into sugar and oxygen. We stumbled upon a space obligation. We came up with this idea that hey why don't we use that CO2. Turn it into sugar which then astronauts could consume as a calorie source and close that loop into a regenerative life support system for missions to deep space. And then down the road on Mars because the 96 percent if there is CO2 is the perfect setup. Oil and gas and mining is our primary focus. The energy that at winning gas industry chemicals are starting to feel more of the pressure for lowering their carbon footprint. And then on one hand they have all this CO2 emissions which is a risk and a liability and it costs for them to say hey why don't we use the same system we're building here to use that as a fetus stock convert that into other chemicals that are valuable. So that led to the bio ethylene project with oxy. And then from then on we add we slated to add other molecules that we could make from CO2 in the mining industry will throw around down to be more efficient in extracting the metals or interest as opposed to when we're just using this harsh chemicals and that way. We also help the mining industry reduce their chemical use lower their environmental footprint and carbon footprint and.
